Celebrating 60 years

Little City, Big Cause!

On Oct. 1, 1959, a group of parents opened a revolutionary, safe place for their children with developmental disabilities. This place, Little City, planted the seed for what would become a vibrant community sixty years later. Little did they know that Little City would not only become a place of care, but a community that unlocks potential.

As we celebrate sixty years of transformation and inspiration, we also celebrate our growth. Today, we support over 1,400 children and adults with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Help us continue to grow by donating to our first annual Day of Giving campaign and spread the word on social media using #LCDayofGiving.

The day kicks off at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and ends 1,959 minutes later on Oct. 2 at 2:40 p.m.

The impact of giving

Luke has lived at Little City for 51 years, since he was a child. Luke’s father was one of the founding families of Little City. Luke’s grown from a child to a senior at Little City. Throughout Luke’s time at Little City, he has become an award winning artist.

“Little City uses an affirming message – that it’s a good world, there’s a place for my kids in the world and Little City will help them find it.”
