Little City Used Book Sale 2008

WE NEED YOUR BOOKS!
(and comic books, too)

Throughout the year, we collect books from anyone wishing to donate used or new books. This year, we are also collecting comic books. If you have more than 150 books to donate, we will even come and pick up your books right at your doorstep! Otherwise, you can bring your books to the following locations:

Palatine - Little City's Front Porch Resale Shop, 1760 W. Algonquin Rd.
Palatine - American Chartered Bank, 700 W. Euclid Avenue
Lake Zurich - American Chartered Bank, 459 S. Rand Road
Highland Park - Rick's Auto Care, 1500 Old Skokie Road
Hoffman Estates - Plum Grove Printers, 2160 Stonington Avenue
Northbrook - GMAC Real Estate, 1925 Cherry Lane
Schaumburg - American Chartered Bank, 1199 E. Higgins Road
Skokie - LaSalle Bank, 4747 W. Dempster Street

We DO NOT ACCEPT the following publications:

Magazines (other than food, art, architecture or collectible magazines)
Law Books
Reader's Digest condensed books
Romance novels
Damaged Books (mildew, water, fire, ripped, etc.)
Encylopedias that are more than 10 years old

Sunday, June 15: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Friday, June 6: Opening Night
($10 fee per person; children under 12 free)
Monday, June 9: Meet Rick Kogan
Chicago Tribune columnist and author

Tuesday, June 10: Comic Book Day
featuring comic book expert Josh Elder.

Thursday, June 12: Children’s Day
featuring authors Joe Brown, Dawn Desjardins, Shawn T. White and Nili Yellin. Gifts and mascot appearances during day.
Friday, June 13: Feature Author Day
Hear authors talk about their works. Scheduled to appear are Sharon Shea Bossard, Sheila Glazov, JA Konrath and Gail Lukasik.
Saturday, June 14: Half-price Sale
All books at half price (except Collector’s)
Sunday, June 15: All books 50 cents (except Collector’s)

We need help sorting books prior
to the event, and then with several activities during the Used Book Sale. Groups of volunteers are welcome. Call Kathie at . . .
