About us
Nearly 400 at Little City continue to create hope, change lives, and challenge the limits placed on hundreds of children and adults with autism and other disabilities.
Today, autism affects one out of every 100 of our children (throughout the nation). It is the fastest growing developmental disability at an astounding 1,148% growth rate.
Thankfully, for more than 50 years, Little City Foundation has successfully created hope, changed lives and challenged the limits placed on children and adults with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our comprehensive services and programs make us the preeminent organization of our kind in Illinois, and we invite you to learn more and join us in our advocacy! Support some of the most vulnerable citizens of our communities--the people of Little City.
Whether it is our approach to residential care, vocational opportunities, athletics or art, our goal is to provide our residents and clients with opportunities that reflect their individual desire – a desire to live dignified and productive lives just like you and me.
That was the vision initiated more than 50 years ago by a courageous group of parents who founded Little City. They wanted to remove the labels society used to devalue their children and championed the fundamental belief that every child and every adult has a right to life with dignity, opportunity and respect.
Today, those founding principles along with a therapeutic community approach, continue to guide the programs and services for our children and adults of all ages, enabling us to create hope, change lives and challenge the limits placed on children and adults with disabilities.
